How to Print a Cheque in UAE on HP, Epson, or Brother Printer

Whether you have an HP, Brother, Canon, or Epson printer, the process for printing UAE bank cheques is essentially the same. This guide walks you through every step, from software installation to the finished printed cheque.

What You Need Before You Start

You do not need MICR ink, a special cheque printer, or any additional hardware.

Step-by-Step: How to Print a Cheque in UAE

1

Download and install the cheque printing software

Go to the free download page and install the software on your Windows PC. The free version allows 15 cheques with no limitations — all UAE bank templates included.

2

Select your UAE bank

Open the software and select your bank from the dropdown (Emirates NBD, FAB, ADCB, Mashreq, DIB, RAKBANK, CBD, HSBC, and more). The correct cheque template loads automatically with all field positions pre-set.

3

Enter the cheque details

Type the payee name, the amount in figures, and the date. The software auto-generates the amount in words (e.g., “Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dirhams Only”). Review it on-screen before printing.

4

Load the cheque into your printer

Place the cheque stationery face-up in the manual bypass tray or single-sheet feeder. Do not use the main paper tray — the bypass tray feeds single sheets straight through without bending the cheque leaf.

HP printers: Pull out the manual tray on the back or side — labeled “priority feed” or “bypass tray”.
Brother printers: Most models have a manual feed slot at the rear or a front bypass tray.
Epson inkjet: Use the rear sheet feeder for single-sheet feeding.
5

Preview alignment and print

Use the software’s print preview to check that all fields are positioned correctly against the on-screen cheque image. Click print. The output lands in exactly the right position on your bank cheque stationery.

Common Problems and Fixes

Text is printing too high or too low

Use the software’s fine-tune adjustment (usually ± mm per field). Print a test on plain paper first, hold it against a cheque leaf, and adjust until fields align.

Paper jam when printing cheque

Always use the bypass/manual tray, not the main paper tray. Cheque stationery is thicker than standard paper. Set the paper type in the printer settings to “thick” or “card” if available.

Ink smearing on cheque (inkjet)

Inkjet printers sometimes smear on coated cheque stationery. Let the cheque dry for 30–60 seconds after printing. For a permanent fix, switch to a laser printer — laser toner bonds to the paper and does not smear.
