Getting the software running on Windows — including the SmartScreen step
Open the downloaded ZIP file, extract it, then double-click ChequePrinter Setup.exe inside the folder to install.
Windows shows a blue warning screen: "Windows protected your PC." This appears for all new software that hasn't been installed by millions of users yet. It is normal and safe to proceed.
Click "More info" (small text in the middle of the warning screen).
A "Run anyway" button appears at the bottom. Click it.
The software opens and shows a bank selector. Choose your bank from the dropdown.
The cheque layout loads with all fields pre-positioned for your bank's stationery. You do not need to adjust anything.
Enter a payee name and a small amount (e.g. AED 1.00) for your first test print.
Before printing on a real cheque leaf, do a dry-run to verify alignment:
Cut a piece of plain A4 paper to cheque size (approximately 21 × 10 cm).
Load it in your printer's manual bypass tray. Click Print.
Hold the printed paper over a real blank cheque leaf and check that the printed fields line up with the cheque boxes.
If aligned — you're ready to print on real cheques. If off, WhatsApp us — your printer model may need a small calibration tweak.
If you received a Pro licence key:
The trial print counter disappears and all banks unlock. The licence is tied to your machine — contact support if you change computers.
