UAE Rent Cheque Calculator

Split your annual rent into PDC cheques — get each cheque date, amount, and amount in words instantly. No sign-up required.

What is a PDC Schedule?

In UAE, all rent cheques are given to the landlord upfront at signing — each with a future date. This is called a PDC (Post-Dated Cheque) schedule. The landlord holds the cheques and deposits each one only on the due date. The calculator above builds your full PDC schedule automatically.

1 Cheque

Full annual rent in one cheque. Often qualifies for a landlord discount of 5–10%.

2–4 Cheques

Most common in UAE. Divided every 6 months or quarterly. Widely accepted by all landlords.

12 Cheques

Monthly — less common, usually for corporate tenancies or serviced apartment leases.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cheques do UAE landlords normally accept?
Most UAE landlords accept 1 to 4 cheques per year. One cheque (full annual payment) often gets a discount of 5–10%. Two or four cheques are most common. Some landlords accept 6 or 12 cheques for larger properties — always agree in the tenancy contract before signing.
What happens if a rent cheque bounces in UAE?
A bounced cheque in UAE is a criminal offence. The landlord can file a police complaint and the tenant may face a travel ban, fines, and imprisonment. Always ensure your bank account has sufficient funds before each cheque date. Set a reminder a week before each due date.
How do I write the amount in words on a UAE rent cheque?
Use the calculator above — it shows the exact words for each cheque. For example, AED 30,000 is written as Thirty Thousand Dirhams Only. Always end with "Only" to prevent fraud. You can also use our AED to words converter for any custom amount.
Can I print UAE rent cheques instead of handwriting?
Yes — our free cheque printing software prints directly onto UAE pre-printed bank stationery. Set up your rent cheque schedule, and it fills in the payee name, date, amount in figures, and amount in words automatically. Works with Emirates NBD, FAB, ADCB, Mashreq, and all UAE banks.
What is the correct date format on a UAE cheque?
Write the date as DD/MM/YYYY (e.g. 01/01/2027) or spell the month in full (e.g. 01 January 2027). Most UAE banks accept both formats. Never leave the date blank on a post-dated cheque — always write the agreed future date.
