How to Print a Cheque from Your Computer in the UAE

What happens in the video

The clip follows one cheque from an empty screen to a printed cheque in the hand. Nothing is sped up and nothing is edited out, so you can judge for yourself how long the real job takes.

1. Pick the bank account. The account is already set up, so its cheque layout loads with it. You do this part once, not every time.
2. Type the payee, the date and the amount. The amount in words is written out for you as you type the figures, so the two can never disagree.
3. Check the preview. The screen shows where each line will land on the cheque before anything is printed. This is the step that saves spoiled cheques.
4. Load the cheque and print. Only the text is printed, at the coordinates saved for that bank. The cheque itself is never redrawn.
5. Compare the printed cheque. The last few seconds hold the finished cheque up against the screen so you can see the lines sit where they should.
