Emirates Islamic Cheque Printing — Business Banking Cheque
The Emirates Islamic business banking cheque is one of the widest leaves in circulation in the UAE, and that width is what you have to plan the print run around.

At 206 mm the leaf is only four millimetres narrower than an A4 sheet on its short edge. That gives you a long payee rule and a comfortable amount-in-words line, so long company names and large figures fit on one line more often than on a short cheque.
The width also means the tray guides barely need moving from an A4 setting, which makes Emirates Islamic one of the easier books to feed. Set the paper size to the custom cheque size rather than A4 so the printer does not try to centre the text on a full page.
What goes on the cheque
Date, payee, amount in words, amount in figures. The software only prints the text fields, onto the stationery Emirates Islamic issued you. The bank mark, the account line and the magnetic band at the foot of the cheque are all already there and are not touched — which is the reason the printed cheque behaves as an ordinary cheque at the counter.
On a leaf this wide the amount in words usually fits the first line. It is still set to wrap when a figure runs long, and the second line is positioned to stay clear of the signature area. You can check the wording of any figure first with the AED amount to words converter.
Supplier and salary runs
Business banking books tend to be used in batches — a run of supplier payments at month end, or a set of post-dated cheques against a contract. You enter the payee and amount once per cheque and the batch prints in order, with dates advanced where you are issuing a PDC series. Is the Emirates Islamic cheque the same as an Emirates NBD cheque?
No. Emirates NBD measures 192 x 96 mm and Emirates Islamic business banking measures 206 x 99 mm — fourteen millimetres apart in width. They are stored as separate banks and you should select the one printed on your leaf. See the Emirates NBD guide if you hold both.
Do I need a wide-carriage printer for a 206 mm cheque?
No. Any printer that accepts A4 can take a 206 mm cheque, because 206 mm is narrower than the 210 mm short edge of A4. Feed it from the manual or multipurpose tray, one leaf at a time.
Does the Islamic account type affect printing?
No. The account structure makes no difference to the printed cheque. Only the physical dimensions of the leaf and the position of the ruled lines matter, and both are measured and stored.
