Mashreq Cheque Format — Why Alignment Matters

Mashreq Bank cheque stationery is pre-printed with the account number, IBAN, branch details, and MICR line. You only add the variable data when printing: payee name, amount in figures, amount in words, and date. These fields must land at precise coordinates — misaligned text can cause cheques to be rejected or flagged.

Fields Printed on a Mashreq Cheque

• Payee / Pay to — printed on the payee line at the correct Y-position for Mashreq stationery
• Amount in figures — AED amount in Mashreq's amount box
• Amount in words — auto-generated (e.g. "Fifteen Thousand Dirhams Only")
• Date — DD/MM/YYYY in the Mashreq date field position
• A/C Payee Only crossing — optional, printed if selected
